4-H Poster Contest

You don’t have to be an artist to enter the 4-H Poster Contest, just let your creativity flow! Make a horizontal poster that is 14 x 22 inches. This is ½ of a sheet of regular poster board. Your poster must be about 4-H and should capture a catchy slogan or idea, such as:  4-H is Popping with Ideas ~ 4-H is the Ladder to Success ~ 4-H is “Sew” Fun ~ 4-H is on the Right Track ~ 4-H is Out of this World

Guidelines

  • Your poster must be about 4-H.
  • Posters must read horizontal.
  • Make your artwork relate to your slogan.
  • We encourage you to use the 4-H emblem, however, it cannot be covered by photos, drawings, symbols, words or other figures or objects. It cannot be used as a “watermark” behind other information. No exceptions!
  • You may use drawings, paintings, cutouts, etc. Do not use well-known figures such as Sponge Bob, Scooby Doo, Iron Man, etc., because they are copyrighted.
  • Objects may not be 3-D nor extend from the poster over 1/8”.
  • Do not use glitter, puff paints, or anything that will rub off.
  • Any color poster board is allowed, however, the lighter colors (white) seem to have won the most in the past.
  • Typically, “less” is “more”.

Be Creative!

On the back of your poster, you must provide your Name and Address, School, Grade and Teacher’s name.

The 4-H Poster Contest is held in January of each year.
